I only knew Coach Tully during my brief internship in Sports Information at SJSU in 2005-06. I worked on the water polo media guide and the water polo section of the website. Coach was very kind to me and very patient, explaining the rules and the dynamics of water polo to me, a Midwestern girl from Missouri who didn't know much about it. I regret that I didn't get to work with him longer or get to know him better. He was truly a warm, kind, dedicated coach and teacher who clearly loved what he did and had an important impact on the players he coached.
