Lou wasn't just a coach to me. He was the 'father' of our 'water polo family'. For those few years while playing, I grew to know and love him. He sincerely cared for his players like his own kids. He knew our struggles in and out of the pool and always took time to mentor us and support us through everything. He believed in me. No one else would have taken a chance on a 5'4" goalie. I know how much he loved his family too. He always talked so highly of his wife Susie and his kids. Susie, thanks for being an amazing support for him and our team. Also, I will never eat a Subway sandwich again without thinking of him. He had the best sock tan and was known for making countless U-turns on road trips...but we always got there. Lou could ALWAYS put a smile on my face. I will forever miss his humor and his warm heart. I know that I will see him again but for now I will appreciate the wonderful memories and life experiences he gave me. Go Spartans! We love you Lou!
